Inamorata

Audrey

A teabag
.Steeped in loneliness,
The erstwhile
.Inamorata’s inevitable
Libation.

Swedish singer, songwriter Tov Lo is one of my favorite poets. Her poetry like her songs and videos, is real, raw and ripe with vulnerability. I love everything about this video, from the look, to the sound of her incredible voice. I think a night of debauchery is the perfect chaser for this poem. – Lola

  1. Lola, the video is most wonderful. Your poem is beautifully sad, the Avedon photo of Audrey Hepburn with the rain running down the window, captures the feelings of loneliness and longing perfectly. A lovely post. Please have a enjoyable evening. ~ Mia

  2. Thank you Mia!! Though sad, this was a fun piece for me to write. I love to play with words and mold them together like a sculptor would clay. I had several ideas for the picture, but when I saw this one I literally jumped for joy it was so perfect!! As a classic movie buff, the lovely Audrey Hepburn is one of my favorite actresses, she was such a beautiful chameleon. I am always so grateful for your wonderful comments Mia, you have the gift of elevating everyone around you. I hope you enjoy your evening as well. – Lola 😀

  3. A gorgeous and sentimental poem. Loved the presentation of it.

P.S. As soon as I saw the title, I could not stop but hear Celentano sing: “Cotto cottissimo, cotto cottissimo E’ innamorato di quella là! ” . I am not sure if you are familiar with him or not, but a quick search on google will bring you to the video.
