Inamorata

Audrey

A teabag
.Steeped in loneliness,
The erstwhile
.Inamorata’s inevitable
Libation.

Swedish singer, songwriter Tov Lo is one of my favorite poets. Her poetry like her songs and videos, is real, raw and ripe with vulnerability. I love everything about this video, from the look, to the sound of her incredible voice. I think a night of debauchery is the perfect chaser for this poem. – Lola

Lullaby

puppy child
A plastic amber
Veil of tranquillity
Envelopes me in
It’s euphoric shroud
Of transient joy.
Dopamine dreams
Mask shadows
Of your longing
That once kept me
Awake at night.

Ruth B.’s lovely voice is comforting on this simple song about where we find our salvation. It’s a beautiful modern day lullaby.

We are

And

Wearing
Last nights
Lust
Our fingers
Entangling
Playfully
As pretty
Summer dresses
Serve

Honeysuckle
Scented
Breezes
Whisper

Sips of

Silence

Star gal

Stillness ignites
Ardent desires
While stars illuminate
The night sky
Fecund with the
Silence of possibilities

David Draiman, the lead singer of the band Disturbed is an amazing talent.  With an operatically trained voice, and his creative vision, he has done the nearly impossible.  He’s taken an iconic and classic song and has breathed new life into it for a new generation.

Check out this video for “The Sound of Silence” and you’ll witness something amazing and powerful.

A delicious
Taste of bitterness
Hangs upon your
Tongue
Your kisses
Biting, taunting
Begging me to
Run
My senses locked
In longing
Waiting for the
Sun
The opiate of passion
Love’s facade
Where there was
None
